Romans 5:1-11 – The Blessings of Justification by Faith
PART 4/18 After over-viewing Paul's argument thus far in the epistle and outlining where he will go up until Romans 8, James Cartwright looks at the source, sphere, security, supply and scope of the blessings of the believer as outlined in Romans 5:1-11. As Paul outlines 7 key blessings, the justified sinner stands completely blessed:
- Peace with God - "...we have peace with God..."
- Access to God - "...we have access by faith..."
- Hope in God - "...we rejoice in hope of glory..."
- Grace from God - "...we glory in tribulation..."
- Indwelt by God - "...the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts..."
- Saved by God - "...we shall be saved from wrath through Him..."
- Reconciled to God - "...we have now received the atonement..."
