Who do we trust?

During this pandemic of Covid 19 we have been inundated with guidelines, graphical statistics, data and instructions.  These appear to change on a day to day basis sometimes causing confusion and unintentional misunderstandings.  At times we may feel, as we consider the information given, who do we trust?

In the Bible the message is clear and in the first book of Corinthians chapter 14 v 33 it states, “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.”

The clear good news message of the Bible is that “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3 v 16).

The truth from the Bible is that “there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” (1 Timothy 2 v 5).

The Lord Jesus lived a perfect life down here on earth and is the essence of truth as one day he spoke to his disciples declaring “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14 v 6).

The truth is that we have all fallen short of God’s standard and the Bible declares “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3 v 23) and the Bible goes on to declare “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;(1 Timothy 1 v 15).

The Lord Jesus Christ went to the place called Calvary and “died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (I Corinthians 15 v 3 and 4).

The Bible truth is that there is no other way to get to heaven other than repenting of your sin and to place your “trust in the LORD“(Proverbs 3 v 5).

So, although we may continue to filter through the mass of information, during this pandemic, we can be assured of the simplicity and truth of the Bible in that “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” (Proverbs 30 v 5)

Will YOU trust Christ today? What will YOU do with Jesus which is called Christ?

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3 v 5)
